Company History

Censor Services was founded in August of 1986 by company President Jim Eckhardt. Jim's experience with resort security led him to start a company that specialized in Hospitality Security and Loss Prevention. It takes a certain mindset in a security officer and security company to provide security services to the public. Realizing that there was a big difference between a security officer at a warehouse and a security officer in the Hospitality Industry Jim set out to build a company that would service that niche. "It takes a certain mindset as a security officer to effectively and hospitably communicate with the public". We train our officers to understand that each contact that they have with the public is an extension of our clients customer service staff. The public needed to feel safe yet welcomed.

Over the years Censor Services' reputation continued to grow and in 1991 we expanded into New Hampshire. This growth was fueled by word of mouth client to client contact. Today we have over 60 security officers working client properties in Vermont and New Hampshire.
